The Waterloo Black Hawks kicked off Round 1 of the USHL Clark Cup Playoffs with a thrilling come-from-behind overtime win over the Fargo Force on April 14, 2017.

Waterloo trailed Fargo 3-1 with 15 minutes left in regulation. Kevin Charyszyn scored the game-tying goal with 4:03 left in the third period. It was Bailey Conger who lifted the Waterloo Black Hawks to a 4-3 overtime decision at Young Arena in Game One of an opening round Clark Cup Playoff Series against the Fargo Force Friday.

At 4:51 of the game’s fourth period, Conger provided sudden victory when he stepped behind the opposing net and used his long reach to complete a wraparound. The puck slipped between the post and goalie Ryan Bischel’s right skate. The Fargo netminder suffered the loss after entering the game midway through the second period for injured starter Matt Murray.

Game 2 is tonight (April 15) at Young Arena. The doors open at 6:05 PM, and the puck drops at 7:05 PM.
