A weekend motorcycle accident in Fayette County has sent 2 people to the hospital.


Just before noon Saturday (Aug. 12), the Fayette County Sheriff got a 911 call concerning a motorcycle accident near the intersection of Kornhill Road and Grannis Road, west of Wadena.

47 year old William Schulke of West Union was operating the cycle westbound, when he lost control and drove into the ditch.

Schulke and his passenger, 28 year old Amanda Williams of West Union, were taken to Palmer Hospital in West Union, to be treated for minor injuries.

The motorcycle, a 2007 Harley Davidson, sustained $5,000 in damages. Schulke is being charged with failure to maintain control.
