ALLISON, Iowa (AP) — A plea agreement says prosecutors are seeking probation for a former Butler County supervisor who's pleaded guilty to theft.

Mark Reiher is scheduled to be sentenced April 20. Last month he pleaded guilty to one count of theft. Under a plea agreement, Reiher will pay nearly $1,900 in restitution and two theft counts will be dismissed.

Reiher was defeated for re-election in 2014. While on the county board, he also had seats on boards for the North Iowa Juvenile Detention Center and the Butler County Solid Waste Commission and attended meetings for Rural Iowa Waste Management in Eldora.

Authorities allege Reiher collected mileage for meetings he didn't attend and twice billed the county and the detention center board for the same meetings.
