A young driver is being cited after crashing a vehicle in rural Fayette County.

It happened at about 2pm Monday (June 5) near Otter and Neon Roads, northwest of West Union. A male juvenile lost control of an SUV and drove it into the ditch, where it rolled onto it's top. No one was injured, but the driver was charged with Failure to Maintain Control.

The Fayette County Sheriff responded to a motorcycle accident Friday afternoon, on Highway 150 near Goeken Park, near Eldorado. 25 year old Michael Van Miller of Ossian was riding the bike north, when he came upon slowing traffic. in an attempt to slow down, Miller lost control, tipping the motorcycle over. Miller sustained minor injuries, and there was minor damage to his 2002 Harley Davidson. Miller was charged with Failure to Maintain Control.

Deputies were also called out Friday morning to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Mill and Union Streets in Clermont. A 17 year old juvenile driver had rear-ended a car driven by 53 year old Laura Mott. No injuries were reported, but there was a total of $8,000 damage to the 2 vehicles. The juvenile was charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
