Clayton County Domestic Assault Call Leads to Pot Arrests

A rural Clayton County couple faces several drug charges after authorities were called to their home on a separate issue.

Just before 10am Friday (Feb. 16), Clayton County deputies responded to a 911 call about an alledged domestic disturbance at a residence on Iowa Avenue, near Garber.

Officers determined that 23 year old Kaitlin Sear had apparently assaulted 39 year old Rodger Sear III.

During the investigation, deputies found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and items used to grow marijuana. The couple was arrested and taken to the Clayton County Jail.

Both Kaitlin and Rodger Sear are charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kaitlin is also charged with Domestic Abuse Assault.
