Charges Pending in Monday Accident

Charges are pending in a one-vehicle accident in rural Linn County.

It happened shortly after 5:30 this (Monday) morning, at the intersection of Bettys Grove Road, and Linn-Buchanan Road, north of Walker.

Arriving emergency workers found that a car had entered the ditch, and rolled several times.

The driver was identified as 35 year old Charles Harmon of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. Harmon apparently lost control of his 2016 Hyundai on a curve, drove into the ditch, and the car rolled three times.

There were 3 passengers, all from Minnesota. Two were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

The driver did not have a valid license, and other charges are pending. The accident is still under investigation.
