Charges Filed in 2 Fayette County Accidents

Two Northeast Iowa residents face charges in weekend traffic accidents.

A West Union man is being charged with causing a 2-car accident near the Volga Lake entrance Friday afternoon (April 28). A vehicle driven by 36 year old Jacob Palmer was stopped at the intersection of 175th Street and Ivy Road, when he pulled out and collided with a vehicle driven by 55 year old Kenneth Woodson of Hawkeye. No one was hurt; Palmer was charged with Failure to Yield When Entering a Highway.

An Oelwein woman is cited following a one-vehicle rollover accident Friday afternoon. It happened east of Oelwein at the intersection of "K" Avenue and 40th Street. A car driven by 32 year old Tiffany Cole went out of control, entered a ditch and rolled twice. Cole was taken to the West Union hospital with minor injuries. She is being charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
