Cedar Falls Man Arrested For Stealing Thousands of Rounds of Ammo
Cedar Falls police arrested a 22-year-old after he returned to the scene of the alleged crime.
On June 28th, Black Hawk County authorities got a call from Blaine’s Farm & Fleet at around 4:45 PM, according to a report from KCRG.
The call claimed that two men left the store with approximately 1300 rounds of ammunition without paying. Reports say police arrived at the scene well after the duo fled with the .223 caliber rifle ammunition.
The next day, officials say that police officers received ANOTHER call from the same location. Store staff claimed that one of those men who had made off with more than a thousand rounds of ammunition had returned.
He was standing in the VERY SAME ammunition aisle that he was in the day before.
Jalen Malik Seals was taken into custody for allegedly committing this crime.
Seals is facing multiple charges:
- Theft in the 2nd Degree
- Theft in the 3rd Degree
- 2 counts of Felon in control of firearms and/or ammunition
In total, he allegedly stole approximately 4,300 rounds of the ammunition over this span of two days.
There is no word on when his court proceedings will begin. Also, officials are still looking for the other individual involved in the crime.
Since this is a developing story, we will make sure to keep you updated as more details come out.
