The big two grocery stores in the Cedar Valley have deals to honor Iowa veterans this Wednesday for Veterans Day. Check 'em out:

Hy-Vee locations will offer a free Veterans Day Breakfast on Wednesday. The grocery chain is making its free breakfast available to all veterans and active-duty military members. What will be different this year is, due to COVID-19 safety precautions, each breakfast will be individually packaged and available through contactless drive-thru in the store parking lot. In addition to the free breakfast, Hy-Vee is also offering all veterans 10% off their grocery total when they shop at Hy-Vee on Wednesday.

Hy-Vee is headquartered in West Des Moines.

All Fareway store locations are offering a fifteen percent discount to any retired, active duty, reserve or guard military members on Wednesday.

If you wish to receive discount, you will be asked to show your military ID at checkout or identify branch of service. Fareway's deal is valid at all its locations. The offer excludes tobacco, lottery tickets, and gift cards, and is good only for this Wednesday.

Fareway is headquartered in Boone.
