A Cedar Falls man was arrested early Tuesday for allegedly firing multiple shots within the city limits.

Police took Arden Hall, 22, into custody shortly after 12:30 AM after being called to an apartment house at 710 W. Seerley Blvd. to investigate a report of vandalism. When officers arrived, witnesses told police that Hall had fired shots from a .410-gauge shotgun and a .357 revolver.

Authorities said unknown persons were throwing items at Hall's apartment, causing damage to the building. According to police, Hall was firing rounds of ammunition out of a kitchen window while debris was being thrown at the building. A short time later, Hall allegedly went outside and fired several shots into the air.

According to police, the bullets hit and damaged a vehicle in a nearby parking lot.

Hall was taken to the Black Hawk County Jail. He was charged with reckless use of a firearm causing property damage, an aggravated misdemeanor.
