Cause of Blaze that Destroyed Huge Barn is Unknown

Authorities are looking for the cause of a blaze that destroyed a large barn near Postville.
Firefighters from Postville, Castalia, Clermont and Luana were called to the scene Saturday evening, near the intersection of Highways 52 and 18, near Postville.

The departments stayed several hours to douse the hay bales that were being stored in the structure.

There were no animals in the barn, and no one was injured.

The blaze totaled the barn and contents; a dollar figure on the damage was not available.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
