Care Facility Resident Assaults Five Staff

A resident of a Northeast Iowa care facility has been arrested for assaulting several staff members.

The Fayette County Sheriff was called out just before 10pm Monday (April 11) to an incident at Prairie View Residential Care in rural Fayette.

An investigation determined that 21 year old Kalkidan Hefel had allegedly assaulted five different staff members.

Hefel was taken into custody and charged with simple assault.

The investigation continues, and more charges could be filed at a later date.
