An Eastern Iowa woman is apparently fighting for her life, after rolling her car numerous times in Linn County.


The accident was reported to the county sheriff at 5pm Wednesday, northwest of Springville, at the intersection of County Home Road and Jordans Grove Road.

61 year old Melissa Davidson of Springville, was driving eastbound on County Home Road, when she lost control of her vehicle and drove into the ditch just west of Jordans Grove Road. After the vehicle entered the ditch, it rolled several times, stopping on it's side.

Davidson was airlifted to University Hospitals in Iowa City, with life threatening injuries.

According to the Linn County Sheriff, Davidson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, which remains under investigation.
