Car Crashes into Tractor Near Elgin, the Tractor Wins…

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accident near Elgin, involving a car and a tractor.

It happened at about 1pm Tuesday (Feb. 16), on Abbey Road, northwest of Elgin. 25 year old Bryan Franks of St. Olaf was driving his car eastbound, when he lost control.

The car then slid into a tractor operated by 28 year old Blaine Everman of Elgin.

No one was injured, but Franks' 2005 Chevy Impala was totaled. Everman's 2003 John Deere 8120 had no damage.

The accident is still under investigation.
