Burglaries on NE Side of Oelwein

The Oelwein Police Department is investigating two burglaries on the northeast side of town.

Officers were called at about 4:42am Friday (June 19) to look into burglaries in the 700 block of 2nd Avenue NE, and the 500 block of 5th Avenue NE.

Oelwein Police are also investigating a theft, reported Thursday morning in the 600 block of 1st Avenue SW, and criminal mischief late Wednesday night in the 10 block of Hillside Drive East.

An Oelwein woman was arrested last Monday night on a Fayette County warrant for 2 counts of burglary. 25 year old Allyssa Garrison was also charged with Burglary-3rd Degree, following an incident in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue NW.
