Black Ice Causes Rural Rollover
Black ice was the cause of a rural Winneshiek County rollover.
According to the county sheriff, it happened at about 9:30pm Saturday (Nov. 28) on Old Stage Road in Glenwood Township.
48 year old Teresa May of Waukon was the driver of a pickup, that went out of control on a curve. The sheriff notes the curve was covered in a thin sheet of black ice.
The pickup struck a guardrail, entered a ditch, and rolled onto it's side.
No ambulance was needed. May's 2007 Ford F-150 had $11,000 in damage.
