Bike Rider in Waverly Seriously Injured

A bicycle rider in Waverly has sustained some serious injuries in a Tuesday night accident.

Waverly Police were called out just before 8:30pm Tuesday, to the Waverly Rail, near 39th Street. A woman, who was not identified, was riding a bicycle when she apparently ran into the back tire of another bicycle.

The woman was wearing a bike helmet, but still sustained severe injuries. She was Aircared to University Hospitals in Iowa City. A condition report was not available.
