Beer Party Bust at NE Iowa Home

Over a dozen area teens are being charged with their involvement in a weekend beer party.

At about 12:30am Saturday, the Fayette County sheriff received a noise complaint at a home on State Street in Eldorado.

When officers responded, they found numerous underage people drinking alcohol at the home.

Those cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age were identified as:

19 year old Nathaniel Scott of New Hampton; 20 year old John Ruehs of Plainfield; 19 year old Matison Swanson of Marble Rock; 20 year old Isaac Taylor of Spillville; 19 year old Tyler Hertges of Calmar; 20 year old Diego Calderon of Postville; 19 year old Trae Jordan of Sumner; 19 year old Isaiah Schwake of Sumner; 18 year old Derek Kohlmeyer of Sumner; 19 year old Sawyer Fink of West Union; 20 year old Will Schott of Clermont; 18 year old Tad Chapin of Tripoli; 20 year old Dillon Kuennen of Waucoma; and 19 year old Noah Balk of Waucoma.

Two teens were also referred to juvenile court:
17 year old Nikkie Dettmer of Tripoli, and 17 year old Logan Blue of Hawkeye.

The West Union Police Department and Winneshiek County Sheriff assisted the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
