In case you didn't know, South Dakota's state bird is the Ring-necked Pheasant.
This is the time of year when thousands of people from all over flock to the state to hunt pheasants, and now there's even a chance for some lucky person out there to own the world's largest pheasant which just so happens to be located in South Dakota.
It almost sounds like a line you would actually expect Clark W Griswold from the "Vacation" motion pictures to mention to his family, doesn't it? Can't you just hear him now, "Hey kids, who wants to see the world's largest pheasant, which is just a little over two short hours away, and just happens to be for sale right now?"

Where is the world's largest pheasant you ask?
The famous South Dakota tourist attraction containing this behemoth of a bird can be found near Huron, South Dakota, just off Highway 14 at 924 4th Street NE.
The famous 28-foot tall, 22-ton South Dakota foul phenom has been in existence since October of 1958. That year the bird was christened by then-Governor Joe Foss with approximately 2,500 people in attendance.
Since that time, the legend of the world's largest pheasant has taken flight all over the world. Now that same pheasant is for sale.
That's right, here's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a well-known South Dakota landmark that has been the subject of numerous travel and outdoor magazines over the years, as well as to help inspire hunters from all over the world to visit the state.
As Dakota News Now reports, the world's largest pheasant is now up for grabs for a mere $180,000.
This prime piece of commercial real estate containing the world's largest pheasant is 1558 square feet on the main level and has a 520-square-foot basement and bathroom. As the realtor contracted to help with the sale says, "The sky is the limit for the commercial possibilities with this one!"
