Authorities Called to Hawkeye Home on Assault Report
A Hawkeye man faces assault charges following a weekend incident.
At about 2:30pm Saturday (Feb. 15), the Fayette County Sheriff received a call reporting a domestic assault at a home in Hawkeye.
Deputies were dispatched to 115 West Wilbur Street, where they arrested 54 year old John Eberhart; he is being charged with Domestic Abuse Assault, which is a simple misdemeanor.
Eberhart was held in the Fayette County jail until his initial court appearance.
