ATV Crashes into Barn, 4 People Injured

Authorities are investigating a weekend accident in which an all-terrain vehicle slammed into the side of a barn, injuring the driver and 3 child passengers.

At just before 4pm Saturday (April 20), the Linn County Sheriff was alerted of the accident at 3478 Saint Peters Road, southwest of Alburnett.

Deputies determined that 63 year old Deborah Graham of Marion was driving an all-terrain vehicle with 3 small children riding on the back, around her property. Graham lost control of the vehicle, and drove into the side of a barn.

Graham and the 3 children, whose names were not released, were taken by Center Point Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

The Linn County Sheriff notes that it's unclear what caused Graham to lose control of the ATV.

The accident remains under investigation.
