ATV Accident Leads to Firearms Arrest
A Decorah man has been arrested early this (Wednesday, Aug. 1) morning on weapons charges, after authorities were called out to an all-terrain-vehicle accident.
Shortly after 7pm Tuesday, the Winneshiek County Sheriff received a 911 call regarding an ATV accident on 155th Avenue, in Pleasant Township.
Responding deputies found the accident scene, however the driver, 38 year old Jayme Kimber, had fled on foot.
About 2 hours later, the sheriff received another 911 call from a residence near the accident site.
Deputies determined that Kimber, the ATV driver, was armed somewhere on the property and threatening to do harm to others.
Kimber was located at about 2:45 this morning in a shed among hay bales. He was arrested without further incident, and authorities seized the firearms.
Kimber is being charged with 2 counts of Felony Going Armed with Intent, Aggravated Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon, and reckless driving.

Decorah Fire Department Drone, Emergency Management, and Winneshiek County Attorney's Office.
