Attempted Abduction Reported in Butler County

An attempted abduction is under investigation in Northeast Iowa.

According to the Butler County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened Thursday evening in Greene, near the Bridgeway Convenience Store.

Witnesses report the assailant is an older man with a beard, possibly cross-eyed, with a raspy voice. He was driving a light-colored mini-van.

No one was injured.
