Assault in Elgin Results in Arrest of Local Woman

An area woman has been arrested by Fayette County authorities on an assault charge.

At about 10pm Sunday (June 17), Fayette County Sheriff's deputies were sent to a residence in Elgin on the report of a domestic disturbance. Following the investigation, officers arrested 20 year old Kiana Kay Jones of Elgin on a charge of Domestic Assault. Jones was held in the Fayette County jail until her court appearance.

A Parkersburg man has been arrested on a Fayette County warrant. On Thursday, June 14, the Butler County Sheriff took 24 year old Brandon Slayden into custody on a warrant for Failure to Appear. Slayden was held in the Fayette County jail in West Union on a $500 cash only bond, until he can appear before a magistrate.
