Assault and Damages at NE Iowa Care Facility

A Fayette woman has been arrested for allegedly assaulting staff at a residential facility.

Shortly after 3pm Tuesday, the Fayette County Sheriff received a 911 call from Prairie View Residential Care Facility near Fayette, about a preson who was out of control and assaultive.

The investigating deputy found that 24 year old Kaley Werger had apparently assaulted two staff members, and caused damage to property at the facility. The injuries to the staff were minor.

Werger was taken to the Fayette County jail, and charged with assault, and criminal mischief in the third degree.
