Arrests Reported in Oelwein

An Oelwein man has been arrested early this (Monday) morning following a traffic stop.

54 year old Michael Hempstead was pulled over by Oelwein police shortly after 6am, in the 200 block of 9th Street NE. Hempstead was charged with driving while his license is revoked.

A Stanley man was taken into custody after a traffic stop in Oelwein. 31 year old Daniel Wilson was pulled over just after 2am Saturday in the 200 block of 3rd Street SE. He was charged with interference with official acts, driving while revoked, and owi 2nd offense.

An Oelwein teen has been arrested on outstanding warrants. 19 year old Kyle Blumberg was taken into custody just after midnight Saturday in the 600 block of South Frederick; the Fayette County warrants were on original charges of disorderly conduct, and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.

An Oelwein man, 31 year old Luis Pineda, was arrested Friday evening in the ten block of 2nd Street NW, on a Fayette County warrant for assault causing bodily injury and disorderly conduct.

And Oelwein police are investigating a vandalism incident. The criminal mischief was reported Saturday evening, from the 900 block of 7th Avenue NE.
