The Fayette County Sheriff reports some recent arrests around the county.

On Tuesday, the sheriff received a report of a no-contact violation in Fayette. After investigating, officers arrested 29 year old Anthony Copley of Oelwein for the violation. Also, 31 year old Karol Makin of Fayette was charged with aiding and abeting to the violation.

On Monday, authorities got a 911 call regarding a disturbance at a residence on West Clark Street in Fayette. Deputies determined that 32 year old Joshua Sargent of Fayette had an argument with the occupants, broke a window at the house, and fled in a vehicle. He was located and arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal mischief in the fifth degree, and driving while suspended.

Early Saturday, Fayette County deputies pulled a car over on Canoe Road, just south of Clermont. The driver, 28 year old Christine Reierson of Elgin, as charged with OWI first offense.

And last Wednesday (March 11th) the sheriff got a report of a domestic assault at a home near Sumner. 51 year old Jeffrey Leyh of Sumner was arrested for domestic abuse assault, first offense.
