The Fayette County Sheriff's Office has arrested two Eldorado residents on assault and drug-related charges.

Shortly after 11pm Thursday (June 11), authorities received a 911 call, reporting a domestic disturbance in the 28,000 block of Pine Street on the southwest side of Eldorado.

After an investigation, 49 year old Dawn Cole was arrested on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury-1st Offense.

The investigation also revealed that 58 year old Ray Steege had a valid Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear. The original charge was Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Steege also had multiple warrants in Washington County, and with the Iowa City Police Department for multiple counts of Violation of No-contact Orders.

Also on Thursday, the Fayette County Sheriff arrested 37 year old Robert White on a Fayette County warrant for a Parole Violation. Monona Police assisted the sheriff.

Early Wednesday evening, deputies were called out to a residence in rural Arlington, on the report of an assault. Officers determined that 24 year old Blaine Recker had assaulted a female at the residence, and broke a window in a vehicle. Deputies searched for Recker, and found him hiding inside a building on the property. The Iowa State Patrol assisted the Fayette County Sheriff.

And at about 12:30am today (Friday), the sheriff was notified of a traffic accident involving a deer. It happened on Nature Road and Oak Road, south of St. Lucas. 20 year old Jessica Ling of Sumner was driving an SUV eastbound, when a deer ran out onto the road. Ling was not able to stop before a collision. No one was injured, but there was $3,500 in damage to the 1999 Chevy Trailblazer.
