A local man faces another charge, after allegedly arriving intoxicated at the county jail to serve a sentence.
At about 8:30pm Monday (Sept. 26) 29 year old Lloyd Scott Jr. of Oelwein was charged with public intoxication, after he arrived at the Fayette County jail, to serve a 48 hour jail sentence. The jail sentence was for the prior charge of operating while intoxicated. Scott was held in jail until his appearance before a magistrate.

A Decorah man is being charged after driving away from the Fayette County Sheriff's office, with a suspended license.

The incident happened at about 3:30pm Saturday, Sept. 17, when deputies received a tip that a suspended driver was traveling from the Fayette County Sheriff's office in West Union. 35 year old Daryl Wilkins was pulled over on Highway 150, and arrested on a charge of Driving While Suspended.
