Arrest Warrants and OWI’s Reported in Fayette County
The Fayette County Sheriff reports that authorities have arrested 3 people on separate warrants, and 2 people on unrelated drunk driving charges.
At about 4am today (Tuesday, Feb. 7), 33 year old Nathan Washburn of Waterloo was taken into custody on a Black Hawk County warrant for a probation violation. He was held in the Fayette County jail until he could be transferred to Black Hawk County.
42 year old Ethan Rickels of Anamosa was arrested Saturday (Feb. 4) on a warrant for Failure to Serve Jail Time, on a Violation of a No-contact order. He was held in jail on $5,000 cash-only bond.
And last Wednesday (Feb. 1) deputies located and arrested 29 year old Andrew Babbitt of Fayette, on a Black Hawk County warrant for a probation violation. Babbitt was later transferred to Black Hawk County where he was held without bond.
Just before 10pm Sunday (Feb. 5), the sheriff received a driving complaint near "K" Avenue and Highway 187, east of Maynard. The investigating deputy determined that the driver, 65 year old Christy Lutgen of rural Stanley, was driving under the influence. She was charged with OWI First Offense and Open Container.
And shortly after 3am Sunday, a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 3 and "X" Avenue, a mile north of Oran. 22 year old Cecelia Lujan of New Hampton was charged with OWI First Offense.
