Arrest Made Involving a Meth Lab Near Brandon

Buchanan County authorities have arrested a Fort Dodge man in connection with illegal drug activity involving a Meth lab.

On Thursday (May 18), 33 year old Cody Brown was taken into custody on active arrest warrants from Buchanan County. The original charges are Drug Trafficking-Methamphetamine, Possession of Pseudoephedrine, Ammonia Nitrates, Sodium Hydroxide, Lithium, and Petroleum Distilates, all with the Intent to Manufacture Meth, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The arrest stems from an investigation back in August of 2016, when authorities executed a search warrant at a residence located northwest of Brandon, looking for an alleged Meth Lab.

Brown was held in the Buchanan County jail in Independence.
