A Northeast Iowa man has been arrested for a series of break-in's into numerous area vending machines.
29 year old Mitchell Halverson of Waukon was reportedly caught Sunday (Sept. 11) by a Waukon Police officer, while in the act of breaking into a soft drink machine.

As a result, authorities executed a search warrant early Monday at a home on Lyle Drive in Waukon. Officers seized items related to the investigation, as well as drug paraphernalia.

Halverson was charged with Third Degree Criminal Mischief, Fifth Degree Theft, Interference with Official Acts, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The break-in's remain under investigation, and more charges are possible.

The Waukon Police Department was assisted by the Allamakee County Sheriff and Fayette County Sheriff.
