
Arrest Made in Moving Pickup Domestic Incident
A domestic incident that was in progress in a moving pickup, has put an Arlington man in jail.
At about 11:45pm Friday (July 24), the Fayette County Sheriff received several 911 calls, reporting a domestic disturbance that was happening in a pickup that was being driven around in Fayette County.
Officers located the vehicle and stopped it near Arlington. One of the occupants, 34 year old Kaben Schmelzer, was taken into custody on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault-1st Offense.
Schmelzer was also wanted on a valid Clayton County warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine-1st Offense. He was held in the West Union jail on a $100 cash only bond, until his initial court appearance.
