A Northeast Iowa man faces several charges after allegedly breaking into a home and stealing a firearm.

Fayette County Deputies were called out to a disturbance shortly after 1:30pm Friday (Aug. 12) in the 30,000 block of "P" Avenue, east of St. Lucas.

An investigation determined that 35 year old Justin Kuennen of St. Lucas had burglarized the residence; he was also in possession of a loaded firearm, taken from that home.
Kuennen left that property and drove to St. Lucas, where he entered a business with the loaded gun.

He was later found at his home, and arrested for: first degree burglary, possession of a firearm as a felon, two counts of driving while revoked, and interference with official acts.

Kuennen was taken to the Fayette County jail and held on $40,000 cash bond.

The investigation continues and more charges are pending.
