Arrest in Oelwein for Wadena Car Theft

A man suspected of stealing a car in Wadena, has been arrested in Oelwein.

On Monday (July 27), the Fayette County Sheriff got a report of a vehicle stolen from Wadena. The initial investigation determined that 48 year old Shane Fink of Wadena had taken a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire.

Fink and the vehicle were located in Oelwein a short time later. He was arrested for Operating Without the Owner's Consent, and Driving While Suspended.

Fink was taken to the Fayette County jail, where he was held until his first appearance before a magistrate.

The Oelwein Police Department assisted the sheriff in the arrest.
