Arrest in Local Assault, Plus Theft Investigation

A local man has been taken into custody for an alleged assault.

Oelwein Police have arrested 25 year old Jacob Strempke of Oelwein on a charge of Assault Causing Serious Injury.

The arrest was made shortly after 8pm Saturday (Dec. 2) following an earlier incident in the 100 block of South Frederick.

Oelwein Police are also looking into a theft incident. The theft complaint was filed at about 1:30pm Sunday (Dec. 3), from the 100 block of Lincoln Drive. No other details were released.
