Arrest for Assault in Waucoma plus Warrant Arrest

An Oelwein man has been arrested for an alleged assault at a rural Fayette County residence.

The Fayette County sheriff responded to a report shortly after 12am Tuesday of an assault taking place at a rural home just outside of Waucoma. After investigating, officers arrested 30 year old Adam Nielsen on a charge of serious assault causing bodily injury.

Nielsen was taken to the Fayette County jail and held until his appearance before a magistrate.

A Hawkeye man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant.

On Monday, a Fayette County deputy located and took 48 year old Daryl Jones into custody on a Fayette County warrant for a probation violation.

Jones was held in jail on a $5,000 bond.
