A Fayette County woman has won the top prize in a lottery scratch game, worth $100,000.


Katherine Howe of West Union claimed one of the top prizes in the Iowa Lottery's "Big 7's" scratch game.

Howe bought her winning ticket at the Casey's store in West Union.

Howe traveled to lottery headquarters in Clive, to claim her $100,000 prize.

The "Big 7's" scratch game has a total of 8 top prizes, 6 of which are still available. The game is a $20 scratch ticket.

Since it's inception in 1985, the Iowa Lottery has awarded over $4.2 billion in prizes, and raised more than $1.9 billion for state programs.
