A Janesville woman is in the hospital, after crashing her vehicle into a train in rural Bremer County.

It happened at about 5:45pm Wednesday (Oct. 12), just northwest of Janesville.

41 year old Kimberly Bradfield was driving a sport utility vehicle eastbound on 260th Street, when she struck a northbound Canadian National Railway train.

Bradfield was taken to Unity Point-Allen Hospital in Waterloo, then transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident was investigated by the Bremer County Sheriff, with assistance from the Iowa State Patrol, Janesville Fire Department, and Janesville First Responders.
