
Area Woman Dies in Rural 2 Vehicle Accident
A Northeast Iowa woman has died in a two-vehicle accident in Buchanan County.
It happened just before 6:30pm Monday (Sept. 11), at the intersection of Mason Avenue and 140th Street, southeast of Hazleton.
An eastbound vehicle driven by 47 year old Tamara Jane Miller-Fuller of Hazleton, collided near the middle of the intersection, with a northbound semi driven by 52 year old Perry Dean Klosterman of Strawberry Point. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch.
Miller-Fuller was taken to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein, but died from her injuries.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, she was not wearing a seatbelt.
Klosterman was not hurt.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Buchanan County Sheriff and Oelwein Ambulance.
