Area Woman Charged with Causing Car Rollover

A Brandon woman is being charged with causing a one-vehicle rollover in rural Buchanan County.

Just before 9pm Thursday (Sept. 3), the Buchanan County Sheriff was called to a traffic accident in the 2500 block of Brandon Diagonal Boulevard, south of Independence.

An investigation determined that a southbound 2006 Saturn Ion, driven by Brezlyn Grote of Brandon, went out of control, entered a ditch and rolled, coming to rest on it's top.

Grote had minor injuries, but did not require hospitalization.

Grote was charged with Failure to Maintain Control. The Buchanan County Sheriff was aided at the scene by the Independence Fire Department and Area Ambulance Service.
