Area Teen Dies in Minnesota Traffic Accident
A Northeast Iowa teenager has died in a one-vehicle accident that happened in Houston County, Minnesota.
15 year old Caleb Colsch of New Albin was a passenger in a 2002 Mazda Protege driven by a 16 year old male, late Thursday afternoon (Jan. 17). The car was northbound on Highway 26, on the east side of Houston County, when it went out of control, entered a ditch and struck a tree.
Colsch died from his injuries. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Colsch was not wearing a seat belt.
Another passenger, 16 year old Tyler Wild of New Albin was taken to Gunderson Lutheran hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
