Area Sheriff Reports Arrests, Some for Drugs

The Buchanan County Sheriff reports several recent arrests, some on illegal drug charges.

On Friday (April 8), deputies arrested 28 year old Christopher Andorf of Hazleton for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, driving while suspended, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A six year old girl was also in Andorf's vehicle; she was taken into protective custody, and a referral was made to the Iowa Department of Human Services.

Another Hazleton man, 55 year old Brian Stepp, was taken into custody last Friday for possession of drug paraphernalia. Stepp was pulled over in the 1,000 block of Jackson Avenue, north of Hazleton. He was also wanted on warrants from Jefferson County, for 1st degree harassment and 3rd degree harassment.

36 year old Christopher Cummings of Waterloo was arrested Friday on an active arrest warrant for a probation violation, in Buchanan County.

And 29 year old Matthew Wilkinson of Independence was arrested Friday on 2 Buchanan County warrants for probation violation.
