Area Residents Will Vote On NICC Levy on Tuesday

Northeast Iowa residents are reminded to exercise your right to vote this coming Tuesday (Sept. 11), on continuing the current bond levy at Northeast Iowa Community College.

College officials not that this is not a new tax, but a continuation of a current 28.8 cent levy.

The levy means a homeowner with a house that has a valuation of $150,000 would pay $1.89 a month, or $23 a year.

Polls are open from noon to 8pm.

Counties in the district include: Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque, Fayette, Howard, and Winneshiek Counties, as well as portions of Bremer, Buchanan, Jones, Jackson and Mitchell Counties.
