
Area People Arrested on Outstanding Warrants
A local man has turned himself in to authorities on an outstanding warrant.
On Wednesday (May 3), 28 year old Matthew Carter of Oelwein surrendered himself at the Fayette County Sheriff's Office in West Union. Carter was wanted on a warrant for the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana. Carter was released after posting $5,000 bond.
A Hawkeye man has been arrested on some outstanding warrants. 66 year old Charles Hubbs was taken into custody by the Fayette County Sheriff on Wednesday, on 3 Fayette County warrants for Failure to Appear in Court. The original charges were 2 counts of Driving While License is Suspended, and one of Failure to Maintain Control. Hubbs was held until his initial court appearance.
And Fayette County authorities have arrested a McGregor man, 27 year old James Langreck on a warrant for a parole violation. Mar Mac Police and the Clayton County Sheriff assisted the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
