Area Man Wanted on Drug Charges is Arrested

Another Elgin resident, wanted for illegal drug activity, has now been arrested.

39 year old Corey Schroeder was taken into custody last Wednesday (June 1) on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia, 15 counts of not having a drug tax stamp, possession of a firearm as a felon, and possession with intent to deliver marijuana.

Schroeder was wanted after a recent search of an Elgin residence, uncovered numerous marijuana plants, over 200 grams of processed marijuana which was packaged and ready for sale, 2 firearms, cash, scales and drug paraphernalia.

32 year old Anthony Zieser of Elgin was arrested on the same charges on May 31st.

Schroeder is being held in the Fayette County jail on $15,000 bond.
