Area Man Seriously Hurt in Fireworks Accident
An eastern Iowa man has been injured in an Independence Day fireworks accident.
Shortly after 7pm Wednesday (July 4), Linn County emergency workers were alerted of a person injured by fireworks at a residence on Old Ferry Road, near Palo.
41 year old Jeremiah Morris of Rural Palo had been lighting fireworks, when he sustained a serious injury to his hand.
Morris was taken by ambulance to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
The accident was investigated by the Linn County Sheriff, Linn County Sheriff's Rescue, Palo Fire Department, and Area Ambulance.
