Area Man Hospitalized After Rural Maynard Accident

A young Maynard man is recovering from injuries he sustained in a one-vehicle rollover.

The Fayette County Sheriff received a report of a rollover accident at about 10:45am Wednesday (July 13), on "Q" Avenue, west of Maynard.

18 year old Ethan Fink was driving south in a pickup, when it entered the ditch and rolled.

Fink was taken to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein, to be treated for head and neck injuries.

His 2008 Chevrolet Silverado was totaled.

Fink is being charged with failure to maintain control.

The Iowa State Patrol and Maynard Fire Department assisted the sheriff at the scene.
