A Fayette man has been sentenced to prison, for possession stolen firearms.


34 year old Joshua Sargent is accused of breaking into homes in LaCrosse County, in southwest Wisconsin, and stealing several firearms. He then sold the weapons to people who did not know the firearms had been stolen.

Those weapons were seized by authorities.

Sargent has previous convictions for theft, going armed with intent, violating a protective order, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

He pleaded guilty last week in Federal Court, to Possession of a Firearm as a Felon.
Sargent was then sentenced to 2 years in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release.
