Authorities have identified a man found dead on railroad tracks in nearby Southwest Wisconsin.


The Grant County Sheriff's Office was notified on Sunday (July 4, Independence Day) that an unresponsive man was found lying along the railroad tracks in Bagley.

Emergency responders found the man dead at the scene; it appeared as though he was hit by a train while walking back from a street dance in Bagley.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office was called out to investigate, and identified the man as 25 year old Dylan Bausch of Boscobel. The sheriff determined that Bausch was hit by a southbound train, on the west side of the railroad tracks.

The Grant County Coroner assisted in the investigation.
